Dr (COL) Deepak Kalra, MBBS
Dr (Col) Deepak Kalra is a distinguished medical professional and retired Army officer with over 30 years of service in the Army Medical Corps of the Indian Army. An MBBS graduate from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, he has served in challenging environments including Siachen Glacier and high-altitude regions of Leh-Ladakh. He led the Indian Medical Mission in Afghanistan, providing healthcare services and community outreach, and played a key role in organizing medical cover for major national events such as the Commonwealth Games 2010 and Republic Day celebrations. As Commanding Officer, he established critical medical facilities including a Mobile Hospital in Mathura, a COVID-19 care center, and a multi-specialty hospital in Partapur. His exemplary contributions to military healthcare earned him the Northern Army Commander’s Commendation.
